If your toe brake doesn’t hold tension, then it’s likely that the hook that holds the spring broke off. This normally happens once the part  has aged even without constant usage.

This is a  3D printed part from ABS material which is much stronger than a PLA printed one. Comes in a pair (2 units) per order.
